Winnie is a special doe, with a special story!
Winnie was born on our farm on January 21, 2025, along with her brother, Jack, however, we had no idea their mom, Sapphire, was pregnant! When she was born, it was a very cold winter day, and we had unfortunately just lost our very special dog, Winnie, that morning. When we came out to check on the goats after getting back from the vet, there was Jack, standing there, but Winnie (the goat) was laying quite lifeless in the barn. We quickly went to work trying to warm her up. It took a few hours, but once we did, she started to come around! We love this sweet little girl, and believe that she has the spirit of our dog, Winnie, in her… so that became her name. Winnie’s sire is actually one of our Miniature Silky Fainting bucks, Disco (who we had left a little too long in with his mom and the other does the summer before she was born), so Winnie is an unregistered Nigerian Dwarf x Miniature Silky Fainting doe.
