We callĀ Faith our “Unicorn Goat. ” She is a sweet rescue who was born blind.
We bought Faith in January of 2020, when a friend contacted us who worked at a commercial dairy farm and asked if we could help this blind baby goat. She said she was such a sweet girl and felt she would have a good life with us, so we went to go get her! We named her Faith (as in “Blind Faith”). Faith is such a sweet girl, and gets along so well with all the other goats. She really loves playing with everyone, especially Skyy, who is also her size (they are both full-size dairy breeds). Faith had been “disbudded” when she was a baby (before she arrived), but she continuously gets a “scur” growing back on her right side, which is a misshapen horn, so we affectionately call her our “Unicorn Goat.” Unfortunately though, the scur now grows back toward her head, so we need to keep trimming it to keep her comfortable. Otherwise, she does so well with the herd and is such a wonderful part of our farm. Faith is an unregistered Saanen goat.
