Flower is the first boy at our farm to “adopt” another mom!
Flower was born with his brother, Jiminy, and unfortunately they lost their mom, Leeloo, shortly after they were born. We bottle raised them, and although Jim LOVED his bottle, Flower decided that he wanted to nurse on Halley (Halley’s Comet)! Being a fainting goat, Halley would try to get away when Flower tried to nurse, but she would faint (so he would stay latched on and get some milk). She tried to get away from him, but Flower LOVED Halley, and eventually Halley just accepted him as her own. She had one other baby with her, but you would always see Flower cuddled up with Halley. He even stopped taking his bottle, as he was fully adopted by our sweet doe. Flower’s sire was our Nigerian Dwarf buck, Stanley and he is an unregistered Nigerian Dwarf wether.
