Malibu is our first Mini-Lamancha (La Mancha) goat doe.
We decided in 2018 to expand our goat breeds a bit, and started searching for Nubians and Lamanchas (La Manchas), as they are both larger dairy breeds with great milk properties (quality and quantity). Our goal was to breed them to our mini-Nubian and mini-Lamancha bucks, respectively. Pepper and Charlotte were our first Lamancha does. We bred Pepper to our mini-Lamancha buck, Van Gogh, and she had one beautiful doe kid, Malibu. She has very tiny ears, just like her mom and dad, which is one of the qualities that Lamanchas are known for.
Malibu is a beautiful tri-coloured doe, and she is so bonded to her mom. The two are always found cuddled up together, either in the bench in the barn, or outside in the pasture, which was one of the reasons why we kept Malibu to be part of our regular herd.
