Although we are using the barn we built for our bucks to house the four big goats, the pot bellied pig, Charlie, and Blue the Silkie rooster, we knew when we saw him that Prince needed to join our farm!
Prince is a petite little Nigerian Dwarf buckling, and is the first buckling at our farm. He is tri-coloured, primarily black, with white markings, and a little brown on his belly, legs and around his face. He loves to jump and play, and has such a sweet personality. We knew he would be a great little guy to have, as he was from the same farm and some of the same lines as our little does, Amberle and Eretria. They are both such adorable, sweet-natured goats, and we know Prince will be just as special as those two little girls.
We brought Prince home on April 29, 2016. He is an unregistered Nigerian Dwarf. Prince is polled, and has amazing blue eyes.
Prince’s dam is the daughter of Amerberle and Eretria’s dam, a black and tan Sundgau, named Gem. Gem has a registered dam (her pedigree is at Thistle Creek RJ Ruby Tuesday), and unregistered sire. Prince’s sire is a registered Nigerian Dwarf goat. His pedigree is available at Taylorside’s Benson.
Prince is named as a tribute to one of my favourite musical artists, who had recently passed away. He will be missed.
