I love autumn, even though it can be so short-lived here.
However, for that brief time that it lasts, we are so fortunate to be surrounded by such beauty. We usually get our first hard frosts in September (where it drops to -5° C, or lower). After that, the trees follow suit, and start to display their magnificent colours. It takes a couple of weeks for all the leaves to change, and then we are able to see the brilliant golden foliage surrounding our farm and dotting the mountainside.
And just as quickly as it arrives, this beauty is blown away by a few windy days, and we are left with bare trees, and the promise of our impending winter.
I’m already waiting for spring to arrive!
But, in the meantime, I hope you enjoy the autumn trees as much as I do. I’m glad I was able to capture a few pictures before we lost all the leaves this year.
